John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

  1. Yes!! I often see posts that contain ideas and opinions that make me laugh ROFL!!! Plus laughter is good medicine.
  2. ROFL!!! I POST God's Word and you say it is me that " lack comprehension" Oh really??
  3. All mankind are sinners in need of Jesus as their Lord and Savior!! God offers that salvation to any that will choose to believe confess repent an accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
  4. Think!!! The ""only"" way you can believe ""anything"" is to ""choose"" to believe!
  5. God has mercy on all that choose to believe and not reject His love and mercy. God gave us His Son and His inspired(God breathed) Word. What more dare little sin loving men ask???
  6. All have choice= will we choose to believe or not believe. Thomas had made the choice to not believe but Jesus had mercy and helped Thomas. Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
  7. Believing is a Choice! Not Believing is a Choice! ◄ John 20:25 ► Thomas===So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." We choose!!! Believe or not believe. but we cannot blame God.
  8. The "Tulip" has wilted under the light of Truth! The ideas and opinions of 15th century little men are just that= the ideas and opinions of little men 500+ years ago! Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. ◄ 1 Timothy 2:4 ► God=who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. Ezekiel 18:23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live? John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (Rom. 5:8) - "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." John 4:8 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. Isaiah 54:13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. Psalms 127:3-5 - Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward.
  9. If you think you are predestinated to be a believer with no need to choose Jesus as your Lord and Savior then Jesus would not need to have went to the cross!
  10. Some say==God also predestines these people to the end described in the next verse. That predestinating act is logically rooted in his intimate foreknowledge of his people. God does things for His reasons and we believers are His elect because God knew before we were born that we would choose to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. If we had no choice then Jesus need not have died on that Roman cross!

Is Melania Trump a Mail Order Bride?

Jesus says==Let him without sin cast the first stone!!!
  13. The rapture IS the catching up and changing from mortal to immortal. Believers Who Have Died and are alive on rapture day! 13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be"" caught up""(raptured) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. 1Thess. 4:13-18
  14. The Muslim god is not the one True God of Christians.
  15. YES!!! God is outside time God knows our thoughts before we can think them but that does not change the truth that what we think and do is all our choice so God knowing what Paul would do in his life was not God forcing Paul.
