  1. I have been taking notice of my own short comings of wanting to have nice things, and I try hard to get myself out of that rut. Its hard to not want a big beautiful house, or nice car. Usually reading the bible helps take my head out of the clouds (probably a bad metaphor) and helps me to put what is worthwhile into focus. I just wish my heart wouldn't veer towards such things.
  2. I don't know statistics on Christianity, and I can't guess on how many Christians regularly read the bible. But I think all Christians should regularly read the bible and try to draw closer to God, his word, and his Son. The bible says Faith comes through hearing, and we all know how important the aspect of faith is to Christians.
  3. I would join in fellowship with anyone who is willing to give up the pleasures of the world for Christ. Everybody is human, and has urges to go another path. His yoke is easy and his burden is light, and the treasures of heaven is worth the things that are given up here on earth. We should all uplift and edify one another, and not let ourselves be deceived about what the bible says. There are certain ways of the flesh that God tells us we must leave behind to live a Christian life.
  4. The bible says that it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the gates of heaven. But with God, all things are possible.
  5. Quoting myself here. I want to clarify that I do not personally struggle with this. This is the argument that frustrates me the most when discussing the bible with a nonbeliever.
  6. The argument I struggle against the most is "but the bible was written by men, so it is wrong." I believe that the bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is therefore the word of God.
