John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Wake up People - My Rant

Now that was a good laugh! Wow... I love it! I hope you don't mind if I steal your joke to tell some friend tomorrow at work!
  3. I really wish that were true @Beardedfellow but the fact is my home state doesn't seem like it's putting our people in their best interests. Especially with the abortion problem, not to mention the new prisons that are popping up that making our tag prices go up in the process.
  4. What a shame... Well if the school's administration somehow stops it, the best bet for the moms is to make it a breakfast or after school affair. I'll keep them in my thoughts and prayers.
  5. I definitely have to agree with you on that note. I feel like Trump is just catering to a older, possibly slower crowd and Cruz just doesn't have the clout to make it out of the primary. I'm sure Cruz has asked God for forgiveness more often than not... that could be making talking out of God's name or cursing... minor things. But I'm also positive he doesn't want to look weak by admitting that he presently asks the Lord for forgiveness.

    What's your hobby?

My biggest hobby is spending time with my family. I know it might seem like it isn't a hobby, but I don't have a clue to what else I would be doing without my wife and kids. I love spending time with them.

    Should Christians Boycott Starbucks?

Personally, I would avoid them at all costs and promote the local coffee houses around my own area. But it seems that there is a greater gay population out West than people really realize. Because if they weren't such a majority, they would never get as much support. Just imagine if they were like than 1% of the total US population. There would be absolutely no support for them and their cause.
  8. When I look at this type of situation, I can't help but think they should have printed the woman's prayers and let it be. It doesn't make sense to refuse service to anyone based on their religious belief. It's even crazier because it's a double standard considering what's going on in Mississippi.
  9. I second that statement. I was raised to believe that God loves all people no matter their sexual orientation or religion. It's just up to them to love and respect him back. With that being said, I treat everyone as equal no matter their certain situation. But I do oppose same sex marriage in the instant that its a Biblical law that shouldn't be condoned in any such way.

It's really just a shame how screwed up people are these days. What's even crazier is that it feels like these are the same people that you work with, or serve your meals when you go out to eat, or work at the cash register when you buy groceries. How could people just think so negatively?

Over the years, we've seen the Tim Tebow rule take into affect as the NCAA banned all writing on shoes, gloves, and eyeblack. Recently, the same has been done in the NBA by banning Bible verses and scriptures from being sown into sneakers. Was Tebow really doing anyone any harm or offending anyone by writing one piece of scripture? Has this country really become that touchy where we're offended by what one person believes?

    Why are we laughing?

Honestly, money is the big motivator in it all. There's money for war and contractually obligated money. This goes for both sides of the aisle. It really is a sad state of affairs no matter how you address it.

Changing the name of the Bible

I'm sure you were be hypothetical when you mentioned "God's Rules for the World". But I get what your trying to say. I'd just stick to the "Word" if it were to be changed.

The NFL Draft is a Waste of Time

Honestly, the draft is just a cash cow. After the first three rounds, it's a crap-shoot. The players are going to sign with the teams that like them. But I guess everything has to have an order of which how they go about their business. I tend to quit watching after the first three rounds. But for some people, it's a big deal. There are super fans out there that will drop $5000 on front row seats like its no big thing.
