John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

    Pastors/Ministers Being Prepared

We've only had DialMyCalls' service for a short time. Already used it for rain cancellations and event reminders. Its great and everyone seems to like the service too. Win...Win...

    Pastors/Ministers Being Prepared

Does the church you are attending have a notification system? I truly recommend DialMyCalls. We started using it recently. It's great. So easy to record my message and send it out to all the church members. They all get the same message at the same time. No more dialing for hours trying to let everyone know what is going on or being canceled. It seems to have reduced the number of calls into the office too. Let me know if you want me to share how I signed up. It was too easy and they have Customer Support 7 days a week. That works for me since I am in the office on the weekends should questions or issues come up.

    Pastors/Ministers Being Prepared

We ended up trying out a system called DialMyCalls. So far so good, working great. We can send calls and text messages out to everyone at the same time and pretty quickly too. If anyone has any questions about it, I'd be happy to share.

4.

Hello Everyone. What communication tools does your church use to keep congregants informed? What if service was canceled due to weather or a heating/cooling system failure? Or any other issue? How would your Pastor/Minister let all the people know so they didn't head out for service, when its been delayed, postponed or canceled? What if there was an emergency at your church? How would congregants be notified of the emergency? Many people would be involved. How would your Pastor/Minister notify them all at the same time?

Bless You!

I can only imagine how funny this must be. I couldn't listen/see the video either. Its true to point out how others insult someone's beliefs but theirs is evern sillier. Great Words there, Novelangel.

    Family Feuds: How to Respond

So nice. There is nobody better than your sister to hang out with. Your husband is a special man to take the time and energy to help you mend your relationship with your sister. Going on vacation together is awesome. I don't know if I could be that brave. I do love that the "cousins" are able to get to know each other and vacation together as well. That means so much to kids/families, to know there is support out there inside the family. Its amazing to consider that your relationship with your sister does affect so many others in the family. God Bless.

What are your children learning from you?

My husband and I will be married for 37 years next month. I hope my children are learning about love and respect. We love and respect each other. Quite often it is the respect that is missing from a relationship causing dismay. I hope my children are learning that there are ups and downs during the journey but stay on board. Be nice to each other, surprise each other. Celebrate each other. Work together and be friends. But of all else, Love each other and the family you are blessed to be a part of.

People In Heaven Praying For Us

Don't forget about Faith. Does it really matter who is praying for you? If you believe (or someone else believes) that a lost loved one is in heaven praying for them, Is there harm in that? I don't think so. Both my parents are in heaven, my faith has led me to believe this to be true. I feel their presence in me and I am comforted knowing they are looking after me and my loved ones here on earth.

    When it hurts too much

I am sorry for your losses. I feel for you and your wife. Life isn't fair but we cannot lose faith. Put up crucifixes, pictures, whatever it is that will remind you that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is with us. You are not alone. Find peach in the Word of God. Be well. God Bless.

    Is Baptism Necessary for Salvation?

Thank you, Marie. I appreciate your response and reflection of, "...it does bring one into the family of Christ." Amen.

Let's pray for people suffering from addictions

I pray those addicted will be healed and shown God's way...the way for them. God, please bless and protect those addicted to substances that are harmful to them. Amen.
