  6. Hello Antus, I am sorry I missed you introduction last month. Old age, I guess. May I ask why you listed denomination as "not sure yet?" Do you fellowship with any groups? Anyway, welcome to ChristForums. I hope you'll enjoy your stay here.
  7. It is like everything else in our Western Society, overdone and over-promoted. The people holding society's purse-strings get to decide it all. Between the candy and costumes, we spend way too much. Otherwise, it is relatively harmless and fun for the kids. It is the nature of the animal (Western Society). 😎
  8. What are you implying, that anyone here is looking up on the works of those like Cummins? I don't think anything like that is going on. We all here despise anyone that promotes abortion but that they are out of our purview, so we just leave them alone. They were our enemy, now they are gone. Let the Lord judge them.
  9. I will say just this: Take heed how you declare someone evil. We know how Satan gets people into self-justification and on the road to evil and thinking they are working for the good of mankind. Most people become corrupt because of power. It takes a lot of faith to weld power and do right by everybody. Corruption is the nature of the beast.
  10. Hello FalconMan, welcome to the forum. I hope you'll enjoy your stay here. Big Sky: Wyoming or Montana?
  11. Hahaha... Maybe the Lord is telling you to rely on your faith rather than guns. I really have no fear of losing my life since turning back to Jesus. We were barely into Oakland still living in the van when we went to eat at a mission meal downtown. We were parked in the park and walked to the mission. We had my 14 year old step daughter with us and these lowlifes kept looking at her and talking among themselves. Of course, we became concerned. so did the mission director, which decided he was going to give us a ride back to our van, but didn't tell us. When we finished ,he was busy with some other folks. We went outside and saw those men talking on the corner. Suddenly, one of them says something and they all scramble off. We went into the BART subway station to make a telephone call and the mission director came looking for us thinking the worse. Needless to say, when we went back he was relieved we were okay. I think the Lord put some other thing on their minds so they would leave us alone. I noticed this happened more than once during my mission days. Many times I had to walk by crack dealers, to get home, while I was training in Berkeley for computers. The buses didn't run down 85th Street late at night. I always felt like the Lord was present, during these times, and didn't fear like when I grew up in Watts as a child.
  12. Yes, I think you are on the right track. We can share many things but we cannot determine what of the word is planted seed, and what is testimony. We need to share the hope we have and follow the guide of His Spirit. 🌝

  14. If that is the case, they forgot to take David with them. Let's listen to Peter: Acts 2:34,35 "For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool." Was that not after the Matthew 27 incident? Also all the patriarchs of Hebrews 11, they are not perfected yet, right? Heb. 11:39,40 "And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect." 🤔
  15. That is because salvation wasn't promised through the law, only material blessings. And cursing for not obeying. God has always been approachable but most never sought a relationship with God.
