  1. Yes. The fact that "The Shack" is "just fiction", is one of the main responses regarding any warnings given about it. Very unfortunate.
  2. The story may have been fictional, but the Triune God is not. "The Shack" made many very unBiblical and erroneous claims about God, which is why all Christians should absolutely reject "The Shack" and warn others. Also, you might want to do some research into William Paul Young's latest (non-fiction) book, "Lies We Believe About God." Due to the fact that so many Christians have dismissed any and all warnings about "The Shack", (because it's only fiction) many will also accept this new book by Young, where, for example, he more specifically advocates for universalism, among other heretical beliefs. We need to be very careful with what we accept as okay, especially with what is called "Christian" in these days. Satan is very cunning, and deception is like leaven, and not always immediately obvious.
  3. So glad to hear you're feeling much better. Prayers for a quick recovery from your surgery. God bless you!
  4. Agreed. I know I need to do better at praying in general. Not sure, I haven't been here too long. I'll have to look around more.
  5. Yes, my husband and I have a church, though when we move we may need to find another. Yeah, it can be difficult to find a good place.
  6. Not as much as I should, although I have prayed for all Christians around the world, and I know I should do that more often. On this Forum?
  7. Trump seems to have chosen some of today's most popular "Evangelical" leaders, but unfortunately, that does not mean that they will actually be offering him sound, Biblical guidance and support.
  8. There are a lot of Conservatives too. Our last Prime Minister, (before Trudeau) was Conservative. I grew up in an part of Canada that doesn't have many people, and I also lived in the country. I live in a city here in the U.S. now, and on one of the busiest streets. My husband and I have been searching for a place in the country with a bit of land, but it's been months and we haven't even been able to go look at a single house. It's really difficult to find a country home around here apparently, and because it's so populated around here, land is really expensive. I'm just trying not to go crazy with all the noise and lack of privacy, and trying to be patient and trust God in everything.
  9. It's been hard living in the States for the last two years. I still miss everything, I likely always will to some extent. Not being able to visit my parents as they get older is also very hard.
  10. Unfortunately there is no perfect government, nor one that is truly Christian and serving the Lord. This is why we need to pray for our leaders as the Bible says. Personally, I miss Canada and I wish I lived there rather than in the U.S. I would move back if I could.
  11. I shared this video because it's very relevant to us as Christians. We should definitely be aware of what it going on within what calls itself the Church. If we don't talk about it and warn others then the deception will only spread further. God bless
