John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Do I have a virus?

So people always tell me not to kiss stray animals on the mouth, and now I think I might have caught something...no just kidding. Lol.

But earlier today I had some weird thing pop up on my phone telling me I had four viruses on my phone, it was supposedly a message from Google, but I didn't mess with it because I thought that it could be fake and contain a virus.

The only thing unusual about my phone is that my emails haven't been coming through right and sometimes my apps will just stop.

I have an anti virus app that works as far as I know.

But does that sound like a virus? Or maybe my phone is worn out?

Any advice would be appreciated.

It sounds to me like you are operating a Windows phone with issues and you were right not to open the email, it is a phony message and those usually carry a virus.

I clicked on a link when I first got my android phone. It buzzed rattled and rolled and there was a page that said I had a virus and I needed to purchase an antivirus for it. It was an ad. Other than that I had no incident.

I'm not really a mobile user so I haven't much advice. I think worse case scenario, you could always restore your phone back to factory condition/settings. If you could do that I'm pretty sure that would solve any issues.

God bless,

William

I get ads like that all the time, but never messages from Google.

I'm not sure, but I think phone's have some kind of virus protection built in. And from what I'm told viruses usually come clicking on an advertisement for a porn site or trying to download a game hacker.

I clicked on an article about North Korea.

I get those from time to time on my smart phone, but only for a couple of sites that I am following on facebook.  They are basically phishing scams.  I back out of it and it goes away.

Facebook is scam city.

If I ever make another account I know to reject all the friend request, unless it's someone I actually know, and even then I might reject them too. Lol.
