John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Trouble for establishment Republicans

House Republicans had a bad night – can they prevent a bad November?

A primary loss always sends shockwaves through a party on Capitol Hill. Who’s next? Members of Congress are paranoid. They freak out when a greenhorn decapitates one of their own in a primary. Even the House chaplain isn’t safe. And don’t forget the lesson of Rep. Conor Lamb, D-Pa., who flipped a historically Republican district in a special election to Democratic control recently. Rep. Debbie Lesko, R-Ariz., just won a special election to succeed former Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., who resigned. But Lesko’s margin of victory was less than what it should have been in that Republican stronghold.

So 4 pro-Trumpers took the primaries that were held.

Patrick Morrisey
Mike Braun
Mark Harris
Mike Gibbons

Though Gibbons was the incumbent it appears he supports Trump.

The so-called "blue wave" may not be doing so hot but the "Trump wave" is doing just fine. :classic_biggrin:

I counted up all the spots open for reelection this year and it was:

6,854 spots open for reelection, 3/4 of the country in many area's

this will be an important year for elections, we need to be a little more ambitious however if we are going to keep winning.
