John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

As long as anything that comes from it goes to the victim fund for the 9/11 loved one's I see no problem with this.

The article stated in part -- that one reason given to allow that particular inmate the okay to paint - would be theraputic -- it would enable him to be more human for his up-coming trial. So as to hopefully keep him from receiving the death penalty. That supposedly he didn't Really know what was going to happen.

I don't believe that for a minute.

His name should not be known for anything.

Thing Is -- how do we know that That is where the proceeds Would go.

@Sue D.

It's not his name that will be remembered. He is and has been incarcerated for these long years and without this article we would not know his name now.

My only opinion is that in any way possible if there is some way to help the families who had lost so much, we should do it. I still remember hearing about people having to make the horrible choice of jumping to their deaths or burning alive. It makes my heart bleed to even think of having to make that kind of a decision and I know those loved ones who said goodbye to all those closed caskets have prayed to God that their loved ones died a quick death instead of making that choice. It is to them that I made that post and it is to them that we should spare no expence to ease their burden.

I know there are some people in this country who blame America for everything and If we can get one or two of these mindless minions to fork over a few thousand dollars for a painting by this animal, then so be it. The purchaser can go straight to Hell along with the piece of #$%^* that took away so many lives. If by doing that a son or a daughter can finish college and go on to make her father or mother, who is staring down from heaven at his/her graduation proud, then I say that would be a good thing.

And he needs to remain nameless.

And, yes, I remember 911 very clearly. Americans had nothing to do with it. It Was due to the actions of those people with the long, almost non-pronounceable names. Those people have made it known that everyone one Will 'bow' to them or die. I will die and be meeting Jesus in heaven first.

People who love this country and feel led to help the families who lost loved ones at that time -- feel free to do so.
