John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

New Avaters that we love.

I just wanted to start up a thread about avatars that we use and those we find, so that we can have a gallery of these small insites into our personality that we can search through and discus. It doesn't have to be a picture, it can be a meme or a saying or a sign, but it has to be something that can be used to create an avatar, if people so wish to do so with it.

I'd like to start out with one that I'd love to use, if I could remember how. This one I found on a free gallery.

I'm not so in the know with all the lingo on social media, so I probably misunderstood the purpose of this thread. Lol.

I've always found spiders to be interesting, but some bugs I find gross, like plamedo bugs, I feel uneasy around lobsters and craw fish too, it's thier legs that I don't like, all squirming around and all.

I'm not really into insects, but God created them to be of benefit to his designs, so I can relate to those who find them interesting. They provide a function in our world and their ability to catch their meals is rather unique and rather surprizing when you or someone else walks into their webs. I can attest to the remarkable reinvigorating levels of agility one can gain from simply walking into a spider web. I'm 60 years old on the 2nd of April and I bet I could put a 20 year old dancer to shame with all the writhing I'd do if I came upon one.

When I was younger, I used to walk the woods carrying a long stick I'd spin infront of me, just to get rid of any spider webs that I would have walked into. lol

Out here in Mississippi walking in the front yard is like that, there's tons of crab spiders every spring and fall, anytime you walk near a tree you get covered in webs.
