John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Weapons of Mass Destruction (Iraq)

Recommended Posts

It is an old topic but it still gets mentioned from time to time. Did Iraq actually have weapons of mass destruction? Based on the testimony of Georges Sada, who was the National Security Adviser and General of Saddam Hussein, the answer is a resounding "yes"!

I read his book about 5 years ago entitled, "Saddam's Secrets: How and Iraqi General Defied and Survived Saddam Hussein."

I think most people only consider Nuclear weaponry a weapon of mass destruction so you'll have to define "WMDs". For example, Hussein used chemical weapons which many consider weapons of mass destruction. As for Hussein himself, at the time he was the commander of the 4th largest tank division in the world: https://www.ourmidland.com/news/arti...st-7151366.php

A weapon of mass destruction is a nuclear, radiological, chemical, biological or other weapon that that can kill and bring significant harm to a large number of humans or cause great damage to human-made structures (e.g., buildings), natural structures (e.g., mountains), or the biosphere.
