John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Christian??????? Tarot Card Reading

Recommended Posts

I just found this on another board and it simply floored me. What is going on with these people, I'm not a prude or anything but a Christian's who don't look Jamaican, at all.but look like they belong in a reggae band tweaks my attention.

Called “Destiny Reading Cards,” charismatics – some associated with Bethel Church in Redding, California – are engaging in what is essentially tarot card reading. They call it a “reading” and refer to the program as “Christalignment.” They don’t do “predictions,” but they will help empower your destiny rather than control it. Using what is essentially tarot cards, they do a “reading” about relations, jobs and issues to help people “make better decisions in the future.”

The white guy with dreadlocks is Todd White, a false teacher who goes around growing out peoples legs and claiming it's a miracle, buts it's just an optical illusion.

Sometime ago he was on a show on one of those TBN channels where he came out with when he looks at the cross he doesn't see the price of his sins paid by Christ but instead he sees his own value. He does plenty of other wacky things too. He looks up to men like Benny Hin.

The fact that tarot cards are used to read the future makes me wonder why a Christian would even consider modeling cards after them. Like the article says they bring Christianity into counter cultures, well that just means they mix them together into a new crazy religion.

Sounds like this Todd individual is a person who would steel a doorknob off of a church, nail it to his outhouse and call it a place of worship..Makes me sick to my stomach.

Enough said about Benny Hill ER Henn. I think I just insulted Benny Hill.

There is no such thing as, "Christian Tarot cards". The Bible is clear such occultic practices are an abomination. Anyone who believes in or uses them is deceived.
