John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

I agree with you Dutch. People plan without seeking the Lords will. We are to be "ready" and "alert". I find its easy to ge so involved in things of my life that I actually forget to ask the LORD is its in His will.

There are so many distractions in our lives just like STAR WARS. We enjoy this entertainment and look forward to its opening day, then wala we did not seek the Lords direction.

Now I openly admit I enjoy the STAR WARS movies, but unless I get rid of this kidney stone I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD. So I am hoping it moves pretty soon.
