John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Pro-lifers Bid Goodbye to a Year of Political Disappointments

Ultimately our hope is not dependent on political legislation. Political solutions are not ultimate solutions. You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you. Isaiah 26:3

Dutch your so right. Many think the Government can solve all our problems. But if a person is old enough to vote the have lived long enough to know it just ain't so. To many the Government is a big Santa Clause, that should fill our needs and wants.

I honestly know that our Politicians desperately need our prayers, even if they do not realize it. Our prayers for the Lords watch care over our House of Representatives and Senators, Vice President and The President, should be on our lips before we give up hope on things changing for the better. I am an optimist, but also a realist, and I yield to the Lords Sovereign will, which I may not understand.

Gods mater plan involves many things we do not understand.

Even if we did get a government that was prolife and opposed same sex marriage there is no guarantee they wouldn't be succeeded by leaders who hold the opposite view. In my Bible reading this morning I read about Manasseh, the king of Judah. His father, Hezekiah, was one of the best kings and encouraged the people to return to following God. Manasseh was the worst king and undid all of the good things his father had accomplished. Something like that could happen in our country too.

Is there justice for the lower wage earner in county courts? I have watched carefully on two county courts in the last decade. Both involved single moms. In both cases the women lost their case, but with all the witnesses they had you would have bet money they would win their case. But in both cases the women lost their case, and clearly these women had the law on their side. Her is how these women lost. The men in both cases once speared in court, but the Attorney representing the men, at the very last minuet called the Judge asking for a delay due to some emergency, delay granted. Both women's attorneys charges their cliant for being there.
