John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Is there a Quote Button.

Recommended Posts

I'm a bit confused.

If I want to quote just one line out of another post, I copy and paste it, and I type the quote and /quote on my keyboard.

Is there a button which makes it easier?

@Paoli B., Click and drag to select the text you want to quote and when you release a little "Quote" button will appear. Click it to insert the highlighted text at the cursor in your post. Once in a while, I think if I drag right to left instead of left to right, the button won't appear. Once I drag the other direction it works OK.

Appreciate your help! :-)
