John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Wanna see someone get murdered?

If yes, just flip on the TV. How about two men kissing? Look no further, it's rights on your family friendly host if networks.

If you don't want to see such things I understand, you're Christians striving for rightieosness. If you do, then I ask what's wrong with you?!

I was visiting another Christian site where a forum topic asked, "What TV shows do you like?". Shockingly I found half of the members watch complete filth. A list of these shows are;

The Walking Dead, full of profanity and gore, one scene shows the villain smashing two characters heads open with a base ball bat, the scalp of one character was stuck onto the bat, lovely. Another scene at a camp full of cannibals shows two men using a bat on the back of their victims heads and then cutting their throuts to bleed them out like in a slaughter house.

Family Guy. A show created by an atheist that openly mocks God.

Modern family. This sets out to make to gay men with abopted children a new and ethical norm.

The list goes on.

I'm not here to judge anyone who might watch such shows, but stop it! Ask yourself, does Christ enjoy these shows? Is this what he wants us to focus on? No.

Phill. 4:8 Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and be any praise, think on these things.

Oh why oh why do you subject yourself to such trash, brother?

I canceled television subscription over eight years ago. Had resubscribed during the election debates and cancelled again immediately. I have an LED tv and blue ray player that I only play movies that I buy from Walmart or Amazon. Avg movie cost is 5.00 dollars each. Given that television subscription avgs about 100 a month that is quite a movie collection I have acquired. A whole wall full of dvds and blue rays. I probably own around 600 of them at the moment.

God bless,

I use rabbit ears to get free channels, there's not much that I turn it on for, especially when I could watch something on whatever subject my in the mood for anytime on YouTube.

Yes, satalite is ridiculously expensive. I would expect actors in my living room for a $100.00 a month.
