Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

My nephew is going to be getting married this weekend on Saturday,I think what his soon to be wife is going to be doing at the wedding is going to be really great and special, she has never gotten to meet my brother, what she is going to be doing at there wedding is she is going to be hanging pictures up with clothes pins of my brother,so that way my brother can be at his son's wedding in spirit, since he can not be there.

My nephew's wedding was a blast,it was so wonderful to be able to spend some time with some of my family,my niece Carter was and is such a doll, she is 1 yrs old,she was the flower girl, she has always been such a happy baby,I adore her and love her so much, also something happened at the wedding when both of my nephews were getting ready, this is going to sound very superstitious but everyone believes that my brother was there right there when my nephews were getting ready,in the pictures of them getting ready, there was this white thing, and everyone that my mom has showed the picture to thinks that it was my brother.

God's Word teaches that once a person had died, their spirit is either with Jesus Christ or in another section of Abraham's bosom -- Not free to be 'where ever'.

Weddings are emotional times -- as are funerals -- but we're talking about a wedding now. Minds will tend to be on both the bride and groom as well as family members who couldn't be present. Your Mom missed your brother and wanted him to be there, also. So what she 'thought she saw' -- no one was going to say "No" to her or the picture. They are going to want your mother to feel good. So -- since your Mother wanted to see a 'white thing' as being your brother, no one would say differently.

Unfortunately, the demon world wants to fool people into thinking that their loved ones are floating around somewhere Rather than being in eternity Forever. A demon can present itself in any way it would want to -- that a person would 'believe'.

I didn't mean to imply that your brother was Evil. I'm simply saying that demons -- the spirit world / demons exist as well as angels. and both are separate from people -- demons want to deceive people into thinking that they are seeing some sort of manifestation of their loved ones who have died. I was simply stating that the spirits of our loved ones do not linger in this world. Your brother's spirit won't manifest himself as a light that comes and goes.

And, you're right -- I didn't know your brother. God Does know him and loved him so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to earth to die for his and yours and mine and Everyone's sins and then He rose from the dead. It's God's gift of salvation that is available to everyone to accept.

And God loves You, too. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who so ever believes in Him, will not perish but have everlasting life."

Jesus Christ is the Friend who will never leave us or forsake us. People Will from time to time disappoint us. But God won't.

Thank you for sharing the really good things that happened at your nephew's wedding. It's fun to have the really little kids being flower girls.

You are correct.

Before I became a Christian I was involved in a few seances,

it showed how demons try to fool people in all kinds of ways.

What a special way to have the brother at least known to all. I like it.

Would you clarify what you meant by 'a special way'. Paoli B. was talking about seances. What are You referring to?!
