John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Egypt has been one of the worst places for Christian persecution in recent months. A series of attacks targeting Christians and forced closure of churches have caused Egypt’s Christian population to call on authorities for help.

Egypt with only 10% being Copts, shows that the Muslim's are doing what they can to destroy the church there. We often hear of Churches being bombed while a service is going on. This is tragic, these brothers and sisters need our prayers. Again this shows how peaceful the religion of Islam really is.

In the CBS group I'm in - we're studying the book of Acts -- and how the Gospel was Spread under intense persecution of believers. I haven't read the above article yet, just sharing about the importance of believers Continuing to share the Gospel Especially during times of persecution.

And, yes, Islam Is a huge problem, but God is Stronger than Islam. Muslims Can be led to Christ. Sometimes people are led To Christ as a result of the peaceful deaths of Believers.

Our church is in the process of relocating -- pastor has been reminding us that the real Church are the People --Not the church building. The building is nice to have -- protects from the weather and has restrooms, kitchen, nurseries, etc. All the conveniences that people like/ need (indoor plumbing)

So -- churches being closed -- well -- people can get together in their homes to worship, pray. The early church started out in private homes. Spreading the Gospel to the lost people is necessary -- we only have This life to reach people in.
