Community Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

I was just reading your link -- That's Neat. I like a good discussion , too. I'm simply not a 5-point Calvinist. Nor especially an Arminian. I'm more half and half. :RpS_cool::RpS_smile:

Is that French or Spanish ?!

Is that a question or an exclamation?

I'll go with yes, and no, or both—and if you examine closely, there's some English too—perhaps even a sukoshi bit of onamonapia.

Just making nerdy humor...

Thanks for asking!

I'm in south Texas and hear Spanish all the time -- I was in counseling for a while and he was tr-lingual / mostly Spanish but some French. I Thought I was recognizing some of both Spanish and French. As well as some English. And my sister and brother-in-law are a combo of English and Brazilian Portugese

So - I'm curious as to what languages I was observing.

Do you have a job that requires being fluent in several languages? Or are languages somewhat of a hobby of yours.
