John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

War Looms dark on Horizon

The US is between the rock and a hard spot with N Korea. Watching Fox and CNN this morning did not sound good. War is inevitable and right at the door. For those without Christ the times is short.

Although I know that this "little rocket man" has determined to bring harm to the us, I support whatever our leaders do. I believe in the long run everything that could be done has been done, unless NK gets rid of their nukes we are at the end of our efforst/

There may be nothing we can do but don't forget that God is still in control. Proverbs 21:1 says, "The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will." We need to pray that God will work on the hearts of President Trump and Kim Jong Un to keep them from taking any action that will lead to war.

I agree with you. However I do not think we should waite until "Little Rocket man" attacks us and the results of suck an attack could wipe out millions of our people. The results of sucj an attack would effect so many more beyond the area of the blast, the air drifts and millions more would be effected as well.

By what it sounds there may be movement to put a choke collar on this little fat man. Un has put many to dealt and put many into prison for life. His peple are suffering, surely other leaders are worried at Un's actions.

We pray, and God is still in control. WWII required Gods people to become involved, I hope this can be avoided.
