Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Spiritual Enlightenment --- JOY!

Recommended Posts

I was out driving today, my radio on a Christian channel (always is) when R.C. Sproul came on, reciting Revelation 1:12-18, inserting his commentary as he read. At one point he referenced Daniel 10:5-12. I had read both references but not recently, and I am not frequently inspired to read Revelation or Daniel. BUT.........

I could not wait to get back home! I was Spiritually uplifted as he described the majesty, the glory, the imagery of Christ, my Savior, that Precious One who loved me beyond my comprehension. There was joy in my car, and now I'm seated at my computer.

Pray for God's glorious insight into His Infallible Word as you open your Bible (really, really, hold it in your hands) and read from it, rather than the computer screen. Blessings upon Blessings as you experience HIM!

R.C. Sproul (Reformed Presbyterian) has wonderful theology.

Sproul is a very credible and wealthy source of knowledge. I use his ministry's study bible daily.

God bless,

William
