John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

North Korea and U.S. at brink of war

Check out the headlines flooding in. Everyone following North Korea knows that a Korean war between the South and North would lead to massive casualties. Could this be strategic, that is, getting North Korea's attention away from South Korea onto the United States?

In case anyone has missed it. North Korea just threatened to hit Guam with a Nuclear Missile attack. Guam stations a very strong U.S. military presence.

God bless,

William

Armageddon looms Russia, China no help. That makes them as much the enemy.

An electro-magnetic pulse over the NK capitol and its missile sites would leave NK in utter darkness. Communications down, electrical power gone. Pass it on.

... just some humor, don't take it too seriously.

(last I checked, God is still soverign and He still wins in the end ... So if God is not panicking, then neither am I).

Mark 13:7 When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end. 8 For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will also be famines. These things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. (NASB)
