Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Last Common Ancestor? Scientists Have No Idea!

Recommended Posts

I'm a young earth creationist, so of course I don't believe we have any "common ancestor" because the entire concept is unbiblical nonsense. But if you're interested check out this article that goes over how scientists may pretend that they have everything wrapped up in a neat little package with a bow on top but in reality they have many competing theories and no end in sight on how to solve their dilemma.

But I also wonder if folks here are truly interested in that.

Of course, some of us are very interested in what can be proven as fact rather than someone's opinions that are presented as fact.
