John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Meggido Omega Code II review

Recommended Posts

I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but it is nearly an hour long so a movie in its own right. Indy Christian Reviews, who review independant Christian films, teamed up with Diamanda Hagan (pretty much their opposite, a non-Christian reviewer who reviews Z-grade movies) to tackle the christian TV movie Omega Code II and highlight certain issues with it... It is funny how much they agree on.

There is some bad language, but most of it is theological discussion and humour.

(I wasn't sure if this shouold go here or satire. If it is in the wrong place, sorry and feel free to move it.)
