John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Well it is a bit general, but what better way to spread it out and encompass the most people. There are certainly always people out there who need aid in their healing, and the comfort that comes with prayer, and so I am sure that they would appreciate this gesture. I know I have been there before, as I am sure we all have. It is one of the areas the I would like to think our Lord specializes in to, when it comes to helping us, so it is always nice to recognize and celebrate and pray for that. Thanks for sharing and God Bless.
