Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Hello there.

Hi there, I'm new to the forums so I thought I'd come and introduce myself. I'm 17 years old and I was born in the exotic land known as South Africa. To be honest, I'm not a Christian. I don't follow a specific religion at this point in my life, but I used to be a Christian until midway through 8th grade. I'm here to express my views and opinions on subjects I think is important, and perhaps help those who require help with any situation. I know that I'm only 17, but I've experienced a lot, including drug use, so if anyone needs help or someone to speak to, don't be afraid to message me. I know how lonely it can get out here.
