Community Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Non-Christian Friends?

Recommended Posts

Some people are meant to be in our lives for a season. When I made the conscious decision to pray and ask the Lord to bless me with good solid friends that could meet me where I am spiritually in life, that's when He began to weed out the non-christian friends. This made things so much easier for me because they chose to leave my life. I didn't have to confront them in any way. When they left, I knew the season was over and it was okay.

I think Christianity is all about the humanity and taking care of people. Your kind and humble behavior can impress non christian people. I think it is allowed to have non christian friends in religion. If you be kind and loving to your those friends then there could be chance that they adopt the Christianity. It is all about belief as you can win someone's heart with love but you cannot win with a sword. God loves us and we should share the love with other human being whether they are christian or not. Humanity is the base of every religion. None of the religion tells us to humiliate anyone.
