John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Sick.

Sick? You should of seen what was outside Target at the food court. Dude looked like a lady, he had a dress on. I watched his Adam's apple bounce as he was taking a big gulp from a drink.

Reminded me of this one Aerosmith song:

[sA]Warning: Sexually suggestive material

I do not support the idea that males should use female bathrooms or that females should use male bathrooms. I can not imagine a world where a man who is dressed like a woman gets to use the same bathroom as my 10 years old daughter.

I think the major issues with this case has been discussed but let me add my thoughts about it. For me, transgender people (those who have chosen to change their genders physically and mentally) should just have their own bathrooms. Let me put it this way: Are we supposed to oblige to their every request when it certainly contradicts with ours? If a parent doesn't want a transgender woman (who was born male) to be in the same bathroom as his daughter, that's his decision. And we really cannot force him to think otherwise or even decide otherwise. Yes, these transgender people should have their own rights but not to the expense of other people's right.

So they can have their own bathrooms because hey, they are considered transgender so that means they have their own gender categorisation. It minimises the risk of any person posing as transgenders just so they can take advantage of other people. And it minimises the risk of the transgender being bullied or made fun of as well. Or maybe, like others have suggested, there should just be one private bathroom at all establishments. It can be restrictive, but at least there would be no more fights about this issue.

Truth is, even if they identify as a male or female even though they're not born that way, they cannot force others to think the same. I won't be forcing my thoughts or opinions on them, but they cannot do the same as well. I know that God only made two genders, male and female. I don't have anything against gay people or transgenders, it's their choice. But I still believe in the bible and what it has taught me and other people. Like I said before, there's nothing wrong with being gay as long as you don't act on it immorally or do anything that's against the bible.

America is racid, wicked and doomed. It is useless to pray for her. God is going to rip this nation asunder and any church or Christian who allies themselves with this filthy nation? They are not saved and they will be doomed.

That hasn´t stopped them. A teacher sued the school she worked for because they didn´t refer to her as ´them.´ New York City has already imposed a fine if you don´t refer to a (insert transgender, vestite, pansexual, or any of the 60 so-called sexualities) by the appropriate pronoun, the individual wants to be called. They are already imposing their beliefs on society.

But let me also say this. Imposing beliefs on society is one thing. Imposing fact is another. Objective reality is real. Objective truth is real. To impose objective truth is not the same as a belief (which can clearly be misguided). So to enforce two bathrooms by the natural separation of male and female is not wrong either, based upon objective reality.

Second, there's people who don't have a gender. They are a They/Them.

There is a reliable test involving chromosomes that is non-definitive in only a TINY fraction of a percent of cases involving severe genetic abnormalities.  The overwhelming majority of the LGBQT Community does not fall into this group.  For the majority, they have a gender that they do not like or wish to change.

Third, why the hell are transgender people bullied in the first place.

Partially because, like your posts here, you have a chip on your shoulder and came looking for a fight.  Those that go looking for a fight can usually find one.  Partially because human nature encourages the group to attack anyone that is different.  This applies to far more than just transgender.  The weak boy in the gym has always been shoved in a locker.  Girls have always been merciless with those that stand out as somehow “odd”.  As an atheist, you must appreciate natural selection art work.  Christianity is one of those forces that seeks to swim against the flow of natural selection.  This does not prevent people from embracing natural selection and claiming to be Christian.  Hitler followed none of Jesus’ teachings and claimed to be Christian.

PS. Most of those things “forbidden” in the Bible on your list are from the ceremonial law of Judaism.  You can’t enjoy a bacon cheeseburger while getting a tattoo under Orthodox Judaism.  You can as a Christian.

Is it fair of me to be uncomfortable with the idea of a man in a dress using the woman's restroom even if he really thinks he's a she?

On one hand you sound as if you agree that it is permissible for a man to use a woman's rest room and its vice versa on the other. So are you for,,,or against ?

Isn't that New York mayor wonderful . I'm wondering when he will be imposing a fine on both genders as they exit the plane in his city. One on men for being men and the other on women for being a woman . Sick !

Btw, God disapproves of gays, lesbians ,transsexuals bisexuals and homosexuals.

Could you provide a verse or verses in support?

(I just want anyone passing by to know that we are not just making stuff up based on OUR prejudices.)

I know that "God hated Esau" [Malachi 1:3 & Romans 9:13], so God is not ONLY capable of Love ... God is also Holy and Just.

[Note: I mean no disrespect to anyone with the following post, I just honestly wish to hear some feedback on this matter]

I'd like to hear your opinions about the people who didn't get to choose to be transgender...meaning hermaphrodites who had a gender correction operation done.

There are various medical conditions (induced by medication during pregnancy, hormonal problems of the fetus, etc) where:

  • a geneticaly male person (with XY chomosomes) is born with the outer genitals of a female , and
  • a geneticaly female person (with XX chromosomes) is born with the outer genitals of a male

Both appear as if they were of the opposite gender, but also both of them have the correct set of gonads (ovaries/testes) albeit disfunctional.

Whenever there is a caryotype available (the chromosome test), the birth certificate will have the genetic gender on it.

Some of these people might not have the money or means to change back into their inteded (genetic) gender and remain hermaphrodyte.

Some others proceed with the operation, but if they do they are classed as transgender because their birth certificate was written in regard to what their genitals look like and not what their chromosomes are.

My bottomline is that these people didn't mess with their gender as some sort of perversion and most of them like to keep these things to themselves, and proceed with their life leaving their medical mishap behind them.

This bathroom law would not only compromise their medical privacy, but also potentialy instigate some huge misunderstandings.

What happens then?

Most people who have had a "gender replacement " medical procedure later regret it . But there is no turning back . What's done is done and there are no reverse procedures to correct what was a terrible decision in the first place.

Sure, just let them read Romans 1:24-30. And also read the laws as God gave them to Moses in Deut.which included threats of death for anyone who applied themselves to inappropriate  sexual activity. I'm not so ignorant as to sift through  thousands of laws just to satisfy some unbeliever who thinks God's laws were ineffectual and to obey them was a choice . The unbelieving are more apt to want to believe that God somehow approves of Homosexual activity than they are to believe they are lost and Hell is their final abode. They think it's all a big joke.

Christians are a special group of  people who do not apply  themselves to the things of this world. Consider what is happening in our nation today while holding in your contempt for a lost and ignorant people who want nothing to do with Christ ,God and of course His people ,both Jew and Gentile alike. It is difficult to not get caught up in worldly affairs while trying to retain a coveted relationship with God. So I have to disagree with you when you imply that Christians are allies with this ungodly nation. Some what to believe that we are on our last string and this nation is ready for judgment . I agree, but if that does occur I want to believe with several reputable commentators

that we will experience the Rapture before God pours out His wrath and judgment on this ungodly nation. That has to be true because our wrath and judgment was hung on the cross of Christ ,paying our debt that we once owed Him as unbelievers . We have been judged already. The unbelieving are still in their sins and will face the judgment of God to the fullest !

I have never experienced, and I do mean never heard or seem a woman using a man's restroom. However in a VA I saw a poor excuse of a man dressed as a woman use the woman's restroom. To add misery to the situation, if you make fun of such a perverted sinful person or make any comment that he/she feels were an attempt to bring attention in a bad way a veteran can loose ALL their benefits! This policy was brought  by the Obama administration.

Is it any wonder our grandchildren and great grandchildren don't see great things ahead for the USA?

I would be thinking there is much more going on with this person.  Abuse, porn addiction, zero confidence, something down those lines. If this is a real person reaching out for help You would be taking on a big deal.

A Christian person thinking that way would have to set their knowledge of the Word aside . God created us male and female  Attempting to redo God's creation is not a good idea. What to say to this person? Besides DONT DO THIS ... Listening would be the first thing, gather up some of deep info. I know i would not in any way give a stamp of approval no matter the reason. Those that love this person must be considered..

I'd say "If you don't like my country or my godly principals then START RUNNING AND GET OUT OF MY NATION AND DON'T LOOK BACK !"

The line has to be drawn sometime without having to compromise a life dedicated to Christ .

Your response seems to me to be wrong. First. I remind you we are no longer a country that is run by godly people and I can no longer say our country is even close to godly. Second. Matthew, Christians are in the minority. Third. Try challenging a man using the F bomb in a crowd and see the reaction. No longer is open prayer permitted in many school functions before a game..

If you ever attempted to tell someone "If you don't like my country or my godly principals then START RUNNING AND GET OUT OF MY NATION AND DON'T LOOK BACK!" Then Matthew you most likely would find serious problems and possible arrest. What you've said might well have forked back in 1957 but not now.  Our country no longer seeks Gods guidance or following even the Ten Commands. Evil has a strong foothold not only in our country but most families no longer go to church, Sunday is bow down before the god of sports , football, baseball, basketball. golf, and the list is so long. Jesus Christ is for most a figment like Santa Cause. the song God Bless America should be changed to America Bless God.

In our government in the last presidential election the winner is a womanizer, who uses swear words in his speeches, and used terms to describe his opponents in ways that humiliate them, this is disgraceful should be unacceptable. Even worse Present Trump was the best man we could find for the job. Mr. Trump has my prayers and he has done thing that has helped our country, he needs our prayers even more that before.

On top of all this, after I read what you said I wondered if that would be the response of Jesus Christ? I honestly don't think so. IMO I would ask the person why that you felt so deeply  about our country. Who knows maybe a conversation could result in that person surrendering to Jesus Christ.  For me I am far more concerned about a persons souls that our temporary residence here on this earth. Eternity comes much sooner that we can realize, Life after here on earth is far more of concern that liking our country.

By no means am I not a solid American. I am a 100% service connected home bound Navy Vet. I pay the price of serving our country daily.
