Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” - Genesis 2:18

Meet Like Minded Believers Can two walk together except they be agreed? - Amos 3:3

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

SGS offers a "fenced" community: both for private single members and also a public Protestant forums open to Bible-believing Christians such as Presbyterians, Lutherans, Reformed, Baptists, Church of Christ members, Pentecostals, Anglicans. Pray for Strength of Conviction

Eph 3:14-19 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

While Paul speaks of many effects here, there's one thing that he's praying for - one things of which the rest are the effective results - namely to be strengthen in one's inner convictions. For every other aspect of one's Christian life is dependent upon the degree of one's Biblical convictions.

In describing Christian faith Paul speaks of the faith of Abraham saying, "He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform." Rom 4:20,21

It's is strength of conviction that leads to Christ dwelling in one's heart through such faith, the practice of which is submission to Christ as Lord. But such submission leads to revelation.

Note that in our study of the previous prayer in (Eph 1:17-19), Paul prays for them to have revelation, here we note that revelation is imparted to the individual in the process of them developing and applying their convictions.

Jesus speaks of submission leading to revelation in John 14:21 saying, "Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."

And revelation leads to a transformed life - a life filled with the fullness of God.

So here's another thing to add to your prayer list for yourself and others - that God may strengthen one's convictions and the quality of one's faith.
