Community Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

The danger of brown noses in the Church

Recommended Posts

Brown Noses, people that want to be outstanding to someone. These people want to be be leaders, They say yes to what ever the boss says, right or wrong. This sin has enter into the churches or the house of God, Preachers are using this, the brown noses, to get people or members to do things their way. They are picking the deacons, and all the leaders to their own advantage. Why is this wrong? It’s not their job to pick who going to do what. Favoritisms follows. What do you think about this topic? 😇

Some folks will even try and buy their way into some form of control.. It takes a man of God to not succumb to the pressure.

I seen people becoming leaders in the church that don’t even qualify to be leaders. Most of the time they are new members, that just join the church or born again?

Sounds like a lack of biblical leadership within the church.  Let me guess, Baptist, or Assembly of God type church?

Even Prebys have their 'good old boys club'.

Reminds me of an old Daniel Amos Song...

(Winners and Losers)

I ain't namin' names
But I sense that some pride remains
And I do not want to exclude myself
But I had to take a look
In the light of God's own Book
So see if this sin ain't yours as well

Do you hail the gifted ones
And the others do you shun?
Do you speak to only those you chose?
Well, God's love, it has no bounds
Has no ups, and it has no downs
Goes out to those who win and to those who lose

Now, clubs and cliques, they choose and pick
And they make their interviews
Screen the undesirables
And turn down clowns and fools
But Jesus died for sinners
Losers and winners
Yes, it's proven by His love for me and you

Do you give the highest place
To someone 'cause you like his face
And turn aside those you deem less than yourself?
Well, love that is natural
Can be less than satisfactual
For we all are one, no less than anyone else
