John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Can We Receive Answers to our Prayers by Worshiping God?

There are different ways of praying, and various approach towards those different ways of praying, leading us to receive answers to our prayers. The thing that matters the most is that it should be the right biblical principle put in place to get answers to prayers. Some people doubt if God responds to prayers made through worship.

The first question we will have to ask our self is what does it mean to worship God? To worship God means attributing reverent honor and homage to God. Respecting the fact that God is God and there is no one like Him, that God is the Alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the bright and morning star, the I am that I am, the One who’s mercy endures forever, the omnipotent and omniscience God.

Our Lord Jesus instructed us to be true worshipers of God. The Lord Jesus said, “When the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23–24).    Looking at the scripture above you will notice that Jesus said the Father seeks such to worship Him. Meaning that God wants you to worship Him, God desires it, and it gives Him joy for you to worship Him. Not only to just worship Him as others do, but to worship Him in spirit and in  truth . You should be spiritually connected and focused on Him, acknowledging the true nature of God.

If you worship God the way that He wants you to worship Him, do you think, He will not answer your prayers?

Dr. McGee lists out four ways to worship God

1-Give Him Thanks

Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! -1 Chronicles 16:8

2-Sing to Him

Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; talk of all His wondrous works! -1 Chronicles 16:9

3-Seek His Face

Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore! -1 Chronicles 16:10, 11

4-Remember His Marvelous Works

Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth. -1 Chronicles 16:12

Follow the principles above, and worship God in spirit and in truth and share your testimonies with others as you expect answers to your prayers.

Remember also that, the fundamental  truth is that  God inhabits in the praises of His people. Putting all these to work in faith produces tremendous results.
