John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Another update on my mother.

Hey everyone.

My mother finished her radiation treatments last week, she's now scheduled for a different treatment where they directly expose her cervix with a higher dosage of radiation, they use a tube or something like that, I have no idea.

But the doctors say shouldn't have any more problems with the cancer after those couple of treatments, good news! All she needs to do now is put some weight back on, she was down below 80 lbs for a time.

Thank you all for your prayers and God bless.

I forgot to mention, she has to have a stint put into her renal tube, something caused the tube to her one kidney inflame.

Thank you all for your prayers, it lightens up this stressful time to know that people care and that God has a great purpose for it all.
