John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

In the atheist forum I am on, I think I am up against militant atheists. Some of them are hard core atheists as it comes. They do not even acknowledge the information inside of genetic code or the fine-tuning of the universe.  Not sure how those ones could ever be reached.

I should read a commentary on that.  I would love to provide them some good sources if you know any.

What is that, you are thinking?

I wouldn't waste my good time trying to convince a group of ungodly atheist of anything pertaining to the Word of God  . It's like trying to convince s free will "believer" that "Salvation is of the Lord." Ps.37:39.

Most of them are but there has to be some that can be reached.  That is the only place I disagree with what you are saying so I get it.
