John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Beto O’Rourke Takes Back Pledge — Launches A Bid For The Presidency

Former Democratic Texas Rep. Robert “Beto” O’Rourke announced Thursday he is officially running for the presidency in 2020.

“This is a defining moment of truth for this country and for every single one of us,” he said in a video announcing his candidacy. “The challenges that we face right now, the interconnected crises in our economy, our democracy and our climate have never been greater.”

O’Rourke was defeated by Republican Sen. Ted Cruz during the 2018 midterm election. However, he gained national attention while campaigning after a constituent asked him if he felt that NFL players kneeling for the national anthem was disrespectful to America’s veterans.

In a now viral interaction, O’Rourke disagreed and commended the demonstration. The response lavished praise from the Hollywood elite, spring-boarding the congressman onto the daytime and late night television circuit.

As polls showed the Texas Senate race tightening to a margin of single digits in the weeks before the election, speculation of O’Rourke entering the national political arena began to percolate.

The three-term congressman consistently maintained that he definitively would not be running for president in 2020. However, only a week after meeting with former President Barack Obama, following his election loss in November, the Texas politician revealed that he had changed his mind and was considering walking back his pledge not to launch a bid for the presidency.

“Beto is not going to be helped by an Obama endorsement in Texas,” Adam Hodge, a Democratic strategist, said at the time. “Quite frankly, he’s got his own brand in Texas.”

O’Rourke amassed a war chest of cash after donations from around the country began rolling in — accordingly, he received more campaign contributions in one quarter than any Senate candidate in American history. However, he burned through almost all of the record-breaking $80 million ultimately he raised while campaigning.

O’Rourke, who continuously trailed Cruz throughout the duration of their campaigns, failed to attain the seat as junior U.S. senator to the state of Texas.

And another one rides the bus.  The democratic party clown bus for the presidency, that is.

It is simply amazing how these people can somehow justify wasting so much time and money on lost causes.

With enough financing, voter fraud, or abolishing the Electoral college I expect that the democrat party may win in 2020.

I wouldn't put it past the democrats to not only make it legal for noncitizens (illegal aliens) to vote, but to pass a law that says anything that is currently considered voter fraud is perfectly ok.  But then I really shouldn't be giving them any ideas.

Man, I often feel the same way especially lately. Some of the things I want to talk about I imagine Satan in ear shot thinking that's a really good idea and I should run with it in my democrat party. Remaining silent on an issue vs puffing myself up in order to call the shot before it happens.

I foresee some major chaos should the democrats start implementing things they want.  I just wonder what their endgame truly is.  To me they are becoming the party of traitors, as they are more and more promoting things that would be considered treasonous.
