John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

I haven't been here in a while, I got married back in May of 2017. Things are going great, but my heart has been saddened lately as to how hardened the world's heart is towards Jesus. I know that Jesus said ''the world hated me first, it will also hate you.'' But, it's still difficult to watch people willfully turn away from God's word. I was like this at one point a few years ago, but so grateful for God's grace and that He woke me up. When you have been down and lifted up in Christ, you want e
