John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

I thought it was pretty funny after having read the article. Gives a whole new spin on how Prosperity Gospel preachers can twist the scriptures and not heed the warnings that they themselves should.

They are well vested in the art of brainwashing. If I happen to flip through some of these "Christian" channels and see these thieves taking  command of their congregations by emptying their pockets , it makes me feel so fortunate and wonderfully grateful that God brought me unto Himself via a far different path . And that does not include health and prosperity. It also verifies the fact that genuine believers are so few in number . " Yet I have reserved unto Myself seven thousand in Israel ,all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth that hath not kissed him." 1st.Kngs 19:18
