Community Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Help me name my new website?

Recommended Posts

I intend to start a new online community (like this one, but with a different software, not IPB) related to Christianity. Don't worry. This thread is not about advertising it. :classic_tongue: I know that it is against the rules to advertise other sites, and I don't intend to break the rules.

Actually, I just want to ask you for suggestions about the domain name. I'm trying to think of a good domain name and I'd like to know if you'd be willing to contribute with any ideas. Should the words "Christian" or "Christianity" be included in the domain name, or should I use a combination of words related to Christianity, such as: "faith", "love", "hope", "grace", "belief" / "believe", "righteousness", "Paradise", "Heaven" etc.? :classic_unsure:

Hello LH,

When considering a name I would ask myself what would be the purpose of the site.

Well, the same as this one, but not centered around Protestantism.

Okay. According to the OP it is related to Christianity so does that mean people can join who don't believe in it or want to attack it?

Or does it to refer to including Roman Catholics, as well as Mormons, JW's.,,,Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, etc

Or both? Or both and more?
