Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

I am so thankful to be a Christian! Everyone in my family is Christian! Catholic on Dad's side, Methodist on Mom's side!

I go around spreading the Faith as much as I can that Jehovah God of Light is the only Salvation of our Souls in Celestial Heaven and that Christianity is The One True Faith! I Praise Jehovah God of Light with all my soul! Pray every day with all your soul to Jehovah Jireh The One True God! Amen.

Do you believe that all Catholics and Methodists are born again Christians?

I know this may seem like a picky distinction, but it is actually a big deal theologically, Jesus is the salvation of our souls.

As it is seen from this writer’s article, our death with Christ was not physical like His, but our “death with Christ” (Rom 6:8; 2Tim 2:11) is a reality applied (imputed) in the believer upon the reception of faith in Him. This article points out the importance of understanding that what those reborn do has no affect toward the production of this reality, because it is fully completed in the soul and is progressively manifested in the lives of believers as they are, not conforming, but “being co

Help me understand Faith OF Christ.   I don't necessarily want to discuss Faith IN Christ versus Faith OF Christ. Rather, I'd like to understand views on the meaning of Faith OF Christ. The subjective/objective genitive rendering is interesting, but not my question. For now, let's look at just the subjective genitive.    Does this refer to:  1. Christ's faithfulness in saving us? If so, are the meanings of faith and faithfulness conflated in saying this?  2. Christ'

    • New Documentary Reckons with Christianity’s Spotty History

If Christianity is true, why do so many Christians act in horrific, un-Christlike ways? Why has Christian history been so consistently tarnished with war, violence, and oppression? Why should one believe Jesus is God if so much evil has been done in his name? These questions represent one of the most popular objections to Christianity today. They are good questions: questions Christians should take seriously and know how to answer; questions that should chasten us and cause us to commit to livi
