John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Yes, the Lord will destroy this entire universe upon His return here.  He will gather up His people and the destruction will begin and be quick and total devastation.

2 Peter 3:8 clearly shows the word "Thousand" was used figuratively for "The Lord's Spiritual Realm" of no earthly time.

2 Peter 3:8KJV

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

No, the word "a thousand years" found at Rev 20:1-6 was not used figuratively, but literally.

2Peter 3:8 only says that from the perspective or in the eyes of God, a thousand years is like one day and one day is like a thousand years. In context, this godly perspective of the passage of time was about His longsuffering and patience toward saving us from the lake of fire and brimstone or hell.

But from the perspective of man, one day is one day and a thousand years is a thousand years, which is what Rev 20:1-6 says. All Scripture should be read and understood from the perspective of spiritual man, and not from the perspective of God. IOW, God gave us the Holy Scriptures for us to read and understand spiritually, and not for Him to read and understand.

....... Rev 20:1-6 also says that Satan will be bound for a thousand years. Is that figurative also.?

.

2PETER.3: = 8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

The Day of the Lord

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Yes, but how will eternity begin.?

As per the Holy Scriptures at Rev 20:1-6, eternity begins with resurrected/raptured believers living with Jesus Christ in the one-thousand-year Millennial kingdom on a new earth.

....... IMO, this Millennial kingdom could be a training ground for believers' future work for God as His servants in the coming kingdom of heaven(= after Judgment Day), ie for God's purpose of replacing Satan and the fallen demons who will be condemned to the lake of fire and brimstone or eternal hell.

The verse states God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, is it just literally one thousand, or could it be 1001, 1002, or all hills.

Thousand years is a figure relating to time in Gods spiritual realm, Revelation 20:1-6 is 100% spiritual

Try responding to my recent thread relating to Revelation 20:1-6, we can discuss the absence of your 1000 year kingdom, that isn't seen?

Psalm 50:10KJV

For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

Jesus Christ returns, and this heaven and earth are dissolved by fire, judgment, and revealing of the new heaven and earth takes place in the twinkling of an eye 1 Cor 15:52-54

Eternity begins, the wicked are in the lake of fire, the righteous are in the new heaven and earth.

Eternity!!!!!!!!

You have a false concept that the word 1000 is literal, its not.

Just as in 2 Peter 3:8 one day is a thousand years and a thousand years is a day?

Is it a day or a thousand years?

Its neither, its God trying to explain to our little small brains that he's outside of time and space.

Your teaching of a literal thousand years is putting God in a box of earthly time and space, this is impossible.

They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning hooks;
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
Neither shall they learn war anymore.

I believe in a new heaven and earth, it takes place at the return of Jesus Christ when this existing earth is dissolved by fire, I dont get where your coming from.

You use the word "Thousand" and try to relate this to God as a literal meaning, not so.

You use a verse that states a thousand years is as but yesterday?

That is directly telling you there is no time with God.

We will disagree, thousnad years isn't literal, its symbolic of God having no time in the spiritual realm.

No.

PSALM.90:4 = 4 For a thousand years in Your sight
Are like yesterday when it is past,
And like a watch in the night.

What is Watches of night? Definition and meaning: Watches of night.

Watches of night.

The Jews, like the Greeks and Romans, divided the night into military watches instead of hours, each watch representing the period for which sentinels or pickets remained on duty. The proper Jewish reckoning recognized only three such watches, entitled the first or "beginning of the watches," ( Lamentations 2:19 ) the middle watch, ( Judges 7:19 ) and the morning watch. ( Exodus 14:24 ; 1 Samuel 11:11 ) These would last respectively from sunset to 10 P.M.; from 10 P.M. to 2 A.M.; and from 2 A.M. to sunrise. After the establishment of the Roman supremacy, the number of watches was increased to four, which were described either according to their numerical order, as in the case of the "fourth watch," ( Matthew 14:25 ) or by the terms "even," "midnight," "cock-crowing" and "morning." ( Mark 13:35 ) These terminated respectively at 9 P.M., midnight, 3 A.M. and 6 A.M.

You dont need to go to history books to interpret Gods word, thousand isn't literal, God is outside of time.

Jesus Christ returns, all are judged, the righteous go to the eternal kingdom, the wicked go to the lake of fire.

It appears you believe in a 1000 year kingdom, then the final judgment, then a kingdom in heaven after that?

Actually, that's what the Holy Scriptures(= the Word of God) at Rev 20 & 21 say, literally, ie not figuratively or symbolically or parablely. It's then up to us whether we believe the Scripture or not.

....... In this case, belief or unbelief in the 1,000 year Millennial kingdom may not be critical for salvation, as per JOHN.3:16.

REVELATION.20: (NKJV) = Satan Bound 1,000 Years

1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Satanic Rebellion Crushed

Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

The Great White Throne Judgment

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. ...

REV.21: = All Things Made New

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. ...

The Glory of the New Jerusalem

22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

It appears you don't understand the very plain, and easy presentation of scripture, I hope this helps, very basic and easy to understand.

Jesus Christ Returns In the final judgment, eternal life, eternal kingdom, as he clearly taught below.

There will be no future 1000 year kingdom anywhere, it will be the eternal New Heaven, Earth, And Jerusalem, "Eternity Begins"

Verses 31-32 Jesus Returns with the angels, the nations are gathered for judgment.

Verse 34 The eternal kingdom is presented to the righteous.

Verse 41 The wicked are judged to the eternal lake of fire.

Verse 46 The righteous obtain eternal life, and enter the eternal kingdom in verse 34

"ETERNITY BEGINS"!

Matthew 25:31-46KJV
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Jesus Christ returns, then "The End Comes" Can't be more "Clear" than that.

There is no 1000 year kingdom hidden between verses 23-24 below.

"Then Cometh The End"

1 Corinthians 15:20-24KJV
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Jesus Christ Is Lord

5 You carry them away like a flood;
They are like a sleep.
In the morning they are like grass which grows up:
6 In the morning it flourishes and grows up;
In the evening it is cut down and withers.

Numbers 31:4 = 4 A thousand from each tribe of all the tribes of Israel you shall send to the war.”

The verse states God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, is it just literally one thousand, or could it be 1001, 1002, or all hills.

Thousand years is a figure relating to time in Gods spiritual realm, Revelation 20:1-6 is 100% spiritual

...

Psalm 50:10KJV

For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

So, with the Lord, a thousand hills is as one hill and one hill is as a thousand hills, as per 2Peter 3:8.?

Psalm 50:10 just means that every beast and cattle in the wild hills and forests belong to God.

Psa 50:10  For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

The point being 1000 is not literal

Genesis 20:16 = Then to Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; indeed this vindicates you before all who are with you and before everybody.” Thus she was rebuked.

2Pe_3:8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Is this literal?  or does it imply God is out side of time?

Matthew 25:31 was referring to Revelation 20:11, ie the Great White throne of Lord/God Jesus Christ and Judgment Day, which will happen at the end of the 1,000 year Millennial kingdom on a new earth.

My point trying to understand the above quote.

.

Psalm 90:4 = 4 For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is past, and like a watch in the night.

This is literal. It literally says that in God's sight or eyes, a thousand years is like one day or a watch in the night or yesterday.

What do you mean by 'God is out side of time'.?

Both Matthew 25:31 and Revelation 20:11 are prophecies and they both mentioned the prophetic or future "throne" of the Lord/God Jesus Christ.
