Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Prayer for my Step Aunt on Dialysis.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

Please Pray for Cathy, she is my step mothers sister in law and she is on dialysis, but is also going in for a hip replacement tomorrow.  The thing about her kidneys is a very complicated thing, the doctor does not know yet if she meets the qualifications to get doner kidneys, so she might have to be on Dialysis for the rest of her life.  For anyone who does not know, you usually have to go in the hospital every other day for a four hour session of blood filtering.  My main prayer is that not only will she qualify to receive new kidneys but also be able to find a doner who has passed on, or two living doners.

I’m so sorry to hear about Cathy’s health condition. I know how painful it must be for her to go through this. I just said a prayer for her, asking the Lord to touch her with His healing hands and strengthen her. He cares more deeply than we can imagine and is faithful to respond according to His perfect will. May He prove Himself her healer and sustainer in many tangible ways. Grace and peace to you and your family.

Hello,    After 3 years of planning I am moving! My PC is already boxed up and my internet ISP is scheduled to be disconnected. I plan to hit the road for the red state Idaho on the 28th. I will not be reconnected to the internet nor a functional website staff member until sometime in April. Please direct your support questions to other staff such as Becky and Origen.    I ask for your prayers not only in safely migrating from Ca to Id but also in healing and mentally detoxin

    • Prayer Request

Well.  I never really expected to post here, but sometimes things change.  I just learned that I have colon cancer.  We don't how advanced it may be, but it isn't looking good. God clearly has a new assignment for us and we want to live it well.  I ask for prayer that my wife and I use this opportunity well to glorify God, strengthen Believers and spread the Gospel. Hopefully, we will be fine and back to work soon.   Meanwhile....we may be looking for a place to stay near Virginia Maso

    • Prayer request for my mother

Please pray for my mother's health. She has spotting in her stomach which may or may be nothing more than scarring. The spots which have been seen through imaging have been monitored and are growing enough that the doctors want to go in and directly observe. The scarring are a high risk of cancer. Her surgery is scheduled for the end of March.   God bless, William
