John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

1Pe 3:3  Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
1Pe 3:4  But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

      Alright, I regret the tattoo I got some 20 years ago. But seeing ISIS and mom and paw basement dwelling Antifa which just announced a call to violence against all Conservatives I am tempted to get this instructional tat. In case of capture....... save me the propaganda and the attempts at turning me to both of these enemy ideologies. Let's just get this over with!     Speaking of ideology I am one of those people that attempts to recognize patterns everywhere. Seeing that Li

      What are your thoughts on tattoos? I have noticed in recent years there is a growing trend to tattoo entire arms, legs, neck, etc. It's different than the one or two hidden tattoos of the past. Nowadays it seems to be very blatant and something to be showed off.   Is there a Christian view on this, or something the bible would teach?

      http://www.christianheadlines.com/blog/arizona-church-raising-money-for-church-plant-with-beer-and-tattoo-bible-conference.html   I'm kind of torn about this because I don't typically think of Christians as hardcore drinkers. I mean people in the bible drank alcohol because it was safer than the water most of the time. But I guess Jesus did turn water into wine and it's for a good cause. It's really the tattoo parlor that bothers me. You're not supposed to mark up your body, Leviticus 19
