Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” - Genesis 2:18

Meet Like Minded Believers Can two walk together except they be agreed? - Amos 3:3

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

SGS offers a "fenced" community: both for private single members and also a public Protestant forums open to Bible-believing Christians such as Presbyterians, Lutherans, Reformed, Baptists, Church of Christ members, Pentecostals, Anglicans. About This Club

An audiophile is a person who is enthusiastic about high-fidelity sound reproduction. An audiophile seeks to reproduce the sound of a live musical performance, typically in a room with good acoustics. It is widely agreed that reaching this goal is very difficult and that even the best-regarded recording and playback systems rarely, if ever, achieve it.

    Tekton Design Ulfberht 3.1 System

    Geek! (I'm jealous!)
  3. Sharing my newly setup Tekton Ulfberht system. This has been my long anticipated system [end game or last] as I've waited for like forever to set this entertainment room up. The open floor plan and entertainment room arrangement was "the" reason for me choosing this particular floor plan. I've now been listening to the system for only a short few days as I've been told the speakers need a decent break in period. The system consists of: Onkyo PR-RZ5100 Onkyo DXC390 6 Disc CD Changer Emotiva XPA Gen 3 5 Channel Tekton Ulfberht L + C + R Tekton 4-10 Subwoofer Sony XBR-65A8G OLED Sony UBP-X700 DVD/Blue Ray 4K player The amplifier made by Emotiva is an XPA-5 Gen 3 5 Channel [490 watts/channel RMS into 4 Ohms; two channels driven]. The amp is configured to run 4 channels into 4 ohms to the Left and Right Ulfberht towers in Bi-amp mode from the Onkyo Preamp. The last or 5th channel by the Emotiva amp runs the Ulfberht center channel [4 6.5 inch and 5 speaker compression array matched to the Ulfberhts]. Connecting everything source wise are HDMI [ARC] and XLR balanced cables. Subwoofers, besides the L and R tower's 4 12 inch woofers is complemented by Tekton's 4-10 which is an active design [300 watts rms] housing 4 10" subs equaling the same displacement as 1 single 18" driven from 20hz to 120hz. Calibrating everything is the AccuEQ Room built in calibration of the Onkyo PR-RZ5100. I am totally captivated by the breathtaking soundstage which despite the sheer size of the Tekton Ulfberhts disappear before the listener. This is the first time I've actually heard first hand Eric Anderson's patented compression array consisting of two 7 speaker drivers above and below one tweeter of each tower. Each tower also consists of 4 7" mid drivers and 2 12" woofers. The 55 speaker in the 3 channel bi-amp config has a toed in position and distance separation of 14.7 feet between the L and R. I decided to begin with an equal triangle of 14 feet 7 inches between not only the two towers but also between them to the listener's ears. The house has vaulted ceilings and hard flooring so to say that the sound is lively currently is an understatement. As things are moved in namely plants as well as trees etc to the open floor spacing sound dispersion will follow. In the future I'm pretty sure I'll be experimenting with sound absorption/dampening panels that are both effective as well as cosmetically appealing [form and function]. Visually, video wise I installed the Sony 65" A8G OLED which I have to fine tune. Looking for any recommendations of personal tweaked settings etc. And my spaghetti!
  4. Classical music isn't really my thing but I could appreciate this solo guitar performance.
  5. Hello fellow Audiophiles! One of the pet peeves I had while working in the automotive sound industry is that I was forced to place speakers in less than ideal positions. In turn, I was in the field of automotive sound when the first time delays and processors could compensate for less than ideal conditions such as the driver speaker being located closer than the passenger. I was also in the industry when "Wave Guides" or horns tried to compensate for the varying distancing by delaying the travel of sound through unequal horn lengths. Reflections, Reflections, Reflections everywhere. Sometimes they could be used in a positive manner and at other times they were a nuisance when the fad was using an RTA meter to produce a totally flat curve in the cab of an automobile. Well, now I'm enjoying home audio. And I have the luxury of placing speakers "ideally" in a location to maximize listening pleasure. Is it better to rely on processing or natural distance and reflections? I found this video rather informative and hope that it will help others in maximizing their speaker environment:

Can 4K be better than 8K?

Verified what I thought. OLED is better than QLED. OLED technology is only 4k at the moment and is superior to Qled whether in 4k or 8k. Can't wait until Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales!
